The problem area I have is the area of your questions; did my Harvey have a daughter named Laura? Who did my Harvey marry?? The only information I have on Harvey is from a biography done on Dr. George W. Burns, a grandson of Harvey Burns, which is found in a library in Lafayette In.It states Harvey was a native of Ireland of Scotch parentage, fought for liberty in the war of 1812, suppose to be a wealthy plantation and slave owner, came to the USA via Penn., then to Kentucky? Also stated that he had five children, four sons and a daughter. The only name I have is Torrence Burns, my direct relative. The last statement about my Harvey is that he lived to be 115yrs. The 1880 census of Torrence Burns states that his parents were both born in Va. What to believe, bio – census or neither??I am also sending information along with this. This is the wall I have found.I am coming back East for a visit and class reunion in August and I will have considerable time and was hoping for some leads to follow. Thank you for any time and help that you can provide.I do have future information if any of this fits for you. Rob Burns

From the estate records of Torrens/Torrence Burns (11 M-48) at the Elkhart County Archives: Torrence died Nov 24, 1890.The numberwas written as 22 and overwritten to look like 24.I'm assuming that is correct as Martha Reed charged for care through Nov. 23. We'll know for sure if we get a death record.
The administrator was E. R. Biggs, a local businessman (Diamonds, Watches, Clocks, Jewelry, downtown Goshen).
