Plaque in Eastham, MA. Town Hall
There is a plaque in the Eastham, MA. Town Hall that states that Rev. John Mayo and his family came to Winthrop, MA. in 1638. The rest of the information given there about him is extremely accurate. There are plaques hanging on the wall there depicting the coat of arms and information about the early settlers of Eastham. Does anybody know the source of information for this plaque about Rev. John Mayo? I have never seen it stated anywhere that Rev. John Mayo came to Winthrop, MA. in 1638, and I am very excited to follow up on this and get to the original source of this information. Can anybody help?
