Feb 23, 1955--Obits pg 2:Pierre E. Pelletier, 72 husband of Alma L. (Cote)Pelletier, died this morning at his home 79 Beeden Rd, Westport.Born in Canada, he was son of late Louis and late Delina (Dube) Pelletier. He was a member of St. George's Parish, Westport, l'Union de Prieres, and the Independent Order of Foresters.
Besides his wife, he leaves four daughters, Miss Loretta A. Pelletier of Westport, Mrs Normand Daigle of Seekonk, Mrs Frederic Morrissette and Mrs Raymond Morrissette of Fall River, seven sons, Paul of Albany, NY, Henri of this city, Charles, Albert and Pierre Jr. of New Bedford, Joseph of Portland, Me and Edouard J. of Westport.He also leaves 2 brothers, Hormidas and Joseph Pelletier of Nashua NH, 3 sisters, Mrs Rosalie Rheaume, Mrs Marie Marquis and Mrs Leo LeBlanc al of Nashua, 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
From Saturday, Feb 26 edition:Funeral Notice---Funeral held from Paradis & sons, 1555 Pleasnt St. FR Sat 8 o'clock with Mass at St. George's. Interment at Notre Dame cemetery, FR.Rev. Lorenzo A. Morais, pastor was celebrant, assisted by Rev. Maurice Lamontagne, pastor of Our Lady of Grace, Westport, deacon and Rev Edmund R. Levesque sub-deacon. Bearers:George and Xavier Cote, Omer Thibeault, Gerard Laferriere, Ernest Levesque and James McMillan.
