Regarding my G. grandmother Mary Ann Haggerty Finnegan, I did not find a birth record. However, I did locate theher family, mother father and sibling on the 1870 census . Family lore is that she was born in Ireland , but on my grandmother's deathcertificate it says Monson and Deposit NY. On the 1870 censusit states she was born in Ireland. In addition, I located a record that states that she arrived /immigrated to the USA with her family in 1865. I did find the marriage information in Monson, MA. Mary Ann Haggerty Finnegan is buried in the Haggerty Family plot in Monson.
My grandmother Elizabeth Finnegan was born in Pittsfield, MA. I have both her birth and death certicates. My grandmother was born Sept. 4, 1890. The information that you found could well be my grandmother's birth certificate . Is there a link to the document? However, her mother's namewas Mary Ann Haggerty.
Regarding the information in the 1900 census, I too, found some information.Mary Ann Haggerty Finneganand Elizabeth age 10 resided with a relative. Patrick was not there. Then, in the 1910 censusMary Ann and Elizabeth lived aloneMary Ann had a boarder.
My G. grandfather Patrick Finnegan is another issue. I have not been able to locatehis resting place or death certificate .I do know according to Mary Ann'sstatus in 1900 and 1910 , she and Patrick were still married even though he was not in the household. At Mary Ann's death, her status is widow. So, I am assuming he died between 1910-1915. Patrick's parents were Edward and Mary. I haven't found a birth record on him. Family lore says Ireland. Could be Deposit NY?
I did locate a Patrick Finnegan in Boston with a birth year one year off of my G. grandfather's.He is listed as an inmate in a hospital in Boston. I'm curious to know if this could be him?
