To start with-
the Maine Register of 1896 has each town listed with some census figures-
Lincolnville( now in Waldo County)- was inc. in 1802 in Hancock County- formed of the Plantation of Ducktrap and Canaan
population-1790- 278
1850- 2,174
1860- 2,075
1870- 1,900
1880- 1,705
1890- 1,361
The US Census - on the last page of each town listed is normally found the total count-
1800- Ducktrap(Hancock Co.)- 686 souls
1810- Lincolnville(Hancock Co.)- 1,013
1820- Lincolnville(Hancock Co.)- 1,265(263 families)
1827- Waldo County formed
1830- Lincolnville(Waldo Co.)- no final total- have
to add bottom of each page
1840- Lincolnville(Waldo Co.)- 1,048
1850- Lincolnville(Waldo Co.)- 2,174- 347 dwellings
white males-1,102 white females- 1,072
In the 1800 census there was also the town of Canaan( then in Kennebec Co,) which still exists in Somerset Co. In the 1800 census for Ducktrap I did not see the name Canaan listed.
Hope this answwers your question-
