Town of Worth, Arenac County Michigan

Looking for someone who might have any information on the town of Worth, Michigan in Arenac County.
My great grandfather was born in Worth in 1853 and I have not been able to find out what happened to the town or if it is incorporated into another town.Found out it could be in Standish Township.Family name is Davis. His father was George Davis and mother was Polly Shell.Would anyone know where to find birth records from the area.??? Thank you
