John E. CARPENTER, 1829-1906

I am trying to find information on John E. Carpenter.He was born October 29, 1829 in Ira, Rutland Co., VT.He married Sarah Ann Terry May 1, 1853 in St. Clair Co., MI.They divorced and she went to California before 1900.John was last listed on the Register of Electors in Armada, Macomb Co., MI. on November 4, 1882.After that I lost tract of him, until recently.I just received a copy of a death certificate which gives his death as September 6, 1906 in Grant, Clare Co., MI.It listed him as widowed, but he was divorced and his ex-wife was still living.I wonder if he remarried???I would like to hear from anyone who might have some information on John E. Carpenter.
