I am trying to sort out Nathan England. Nathan was born Aug. 19, 1813 in Ohio, likely in Fairfield County where his parents Isaac England and Prudence Chilcote were married in 1809. In the 1840 census Nathan is in Wood County, Perry Twp. Ohio. In the 1850 census he and his wife Lorinda (maiden name unknown ) are in Seneca County, Loudon Twp. Ohio. with 2 daughters, Louisa, age 5 ( abt. 1845 ) and Julia Ann, age 1 ( abt. 1849 ) In the 1860 census, Nathan England is now in Eaton County, Carmel Twp. Michigan, Lorinda is now deceased as Nathan married 16 year old Margaret Oberholtzer on Nov. 28, 1859 in Eaton County His daughter Louisa married James M. Davis on Dec. 25, 1859 in Eaton County. I do not know what became of her after their marriage. In his 1860 household he has 1 daughter Julia Ann, listed in previous census and now 3 new sons, Nathan age 8, Franklin age 5 and Haorace age 2. Nathan Sr., Margaret, Julia Ann and Nathan Jr. All list their place of birth as Ohio. Franklin and Horace list their place of birth as Michigan. This would indicate they migrated from Ohio to Michigan between 1852 and 1855. I feel that Lorinda "Unknown" died in Eaton County, but can find no record. I have found marriage documentation for Julia Ann England, she married Albert J. Mamer on Oct. 12, 1866 in Eaton County, but I do not know what became of her after her marriage. I know that Nathan Sr. and Margaret had a daughter that was born after June 16, 1860,( census date ) but had died before the next census in 1870, but cannot find a name or death record for her. I know that Nathan moved to Minenesota where he died in 1924. I know that Franklin went to Minnesota and believe he died there after 1930, and I know that Horace went to Saskatchewan and died there in 1949.
Can anyone help me in finding if and when Lorinda Unknown died in Eaton County, and perhaps where she is buried?
Can anyone help me in finding out what became of Louisa England and James M. Davis.
Can anyone help me in finding out what became of Julia Ann England and Albert J. Mamer?
Can anyone help me in finding the name of the daughter that was born to Nathan England and Margaret Oberholtzer that was born and died between 1860 and 1870, and where she is buried?
In the 1870 census Nathan and Margaret are again in Eaton County. I cannot find them in the 1880 census, but have found documentation in the 1878 Atlas of Osceola County, Michigan that he settled there in 1875. Nathan died September 4, 1881 when he was killed by a falling tree. Any help would be appreciated
