John Kooi - World War 1

I am searching for any descendants of John Kooi, who was likely from Grand Rapids, serving in World War I in France.

I have a hand written letter from John Kooi, dated 29 December 1918 to his friend, my great-grandfather Thomas Wilson, who was residing in Grand Rapids.

John Kooi was assigned to Battery D, 119th Field Artillery and was serving in France at the German front. The letter contains information about John's unit shipping out and their combat engagements.

I would like to find any descendants of John Kooi and pass this letter on to them.
