Seeking any information about GGGrandfather, John W. Shoens (1838 - 1920).Listed as carriagemaker on death certificate.LDS gives marriage to Olive Fulton (1840 - 1933) on Oct. 15, 1859 in Adrian MI.However, Lenawee County Records not available for that period.Records support his enlistment in Co. A of 17th Michigan Infantry at age 24 for 3 years at Adrian MI.His death certificate gives his birthplace simply as Pennsylvania without giving parents names.
