Dorothy I. (Filter) Badertscher Obit
ADRIAN — Dorothy I. Badertscher, age 93, of Adrian passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility.
Dorothy was born Nov. 16, 1914, in Metamora, Ohio, the oldest daughter of John and Lucy (Dickerson) Filter. On June 26, 1938, Dorothy married Harold Badertscher. Harold preceded her in death in 1984.
Dorothy attended the Church of the Good Shepherd in Adrian, where she had many close friends. She was a devoted wife and mother. Dorothy also loved to go shopping and out to eat.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Roger Badertscher and his wife, Bonnie, and her daughter, Ann Alaimo and her husband, John, both of California; and four grandchildren, Rick, Lori, John III (Livia) and Brett.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Ruth.
Funeral services for Dorothy will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, at the Wagley Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Goble officiating. Burial will follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
