Benj F. Hiscock, b. 1841, living in Tecumseh in 1870

Benjamin F. Hiscock, who served in the Civil War with Company H, 3rd Michigan Cavalry is listed in the "Organization Index to Pension Files of Veterans Who Served Between 1861 and 1900."In 1870 the federal census at Tecumseh, Lenawee County, Michigan enumerated a “Benj F.” Hiscock, age 29, born in Ohio,with Isabell, age 24 and daughter, Clara B, age 5. This might be the same Benjamin Hiscock described in Company I, 9 Michigan Infantry, who is reported in the Horton Cemetery record, Oakfield Township, Kent County, Michigan.
