John Watson received the sad news Friday, of the death of his father, Joseph Watson, who was accidentally killed in the Lake Shore Yards that morning and the deepest sympathy of all his associates here goes out to the heartbroken family in this hour of deepest affliction.

The funeral of Joseph Watson was conducted this afternoon from the home, 73 Erie St. at 3:00 O'clock with burial at Oakwood.

There are many articles about Joseph going to different towns as a "car inspector"I don't know what that is exactly but perhaps he worked for the railroad?
