In attempting to run down the children of James B. Saxton and Cecelia Niles who lived in Menominee County from the late 1870s through 1920 [at least], I encountered a number of decade-old postings seeking information about an Emanuel Farnlof. The poster was not aware Farnlof had lived in Menominee County or had married into the Saxton family.
Just in case that "seeker" or another still is searching cyberspace for this guy, below is what info I've been able to gather -- and hopefully someone will be able to tell me what eventually happened to his second wife, Orpha Alice Saxton.

Orpha A. Saxton, daughter of James B. Saxton and Celia [sic, Cecelia Niles], b. 18 Feb 1880, Menominee, Menominee Co., MI [1880 Menominee County Birth Returns, p. 39, record no. 7.
The World War I Draft Registration Card of Emanuel Farnloff [sic], 12 Sep 1918, Menominee] gives 1 Jan 1879 as his DOB and Orfa [sic] Farnloff as his nearest relative. The selective service registrar erred; Emanuel signed his last name Farnlof.
In 1920, Emmanuel [sic] Farnlof, 41, b. Sweden; Orpha, 39, b. Michigan; Stella, 10, b. North Dakota, and Clarence, 5, b. Minnesota, were enumerated in Janesville, Rock Co., WI [E.D. #110, Sheet 5A].
After this census, the family seems to drop off the face of the earth -- except for an individual who appears to be the son Clarence.
On 10 Feb 1943 Clarence E. Farnloff [sic], b. c1916, Minnesota, enlisted in the U.S. Army in Los Angeles, CA. He died in Orange County 50+ years later.
