information about Ann Arbor's original City Hall

I was told that my great great great grandfather, William Button, was the builder of Ann Arbor's original City Hall.I am trying to find any information to either confirm this information, or to exclude it.

Any information would be greatly helpful.I am trying to get as much information on William Button as I can.
