Re: KIRK, John P. and wife Mary SCHAFF 1890's

Rosalie - In a book I have, Portrait & Biographical Album of Washtenaw, MI, I found a bio of John P Kirk, son of Bernard and Ann (Murphy) Kirk.It talks a bit about Bernard too.A bio of John P in another book mentions his marriage 20 Jun 1898 to Mary Schaff, daughter of John & Mary (Schmidt) Schaff, talks about Bernard & Bernard's father Patrick also. In still another book, "MI Men in the Spanish-American War", acopy of a news article from Camp Park, Chickamunga, GA June 22 (no year) titled _Maj Kirk of the 31st was married Monday....apparently he had made a trip to Chattanooga that Monday to marry Miss Mary SCHOFF of Ypsilanti.In 1880 Ypsi under SCHOFF Mary is age 11 with parents John b Lux age 50 & Mary b Prussia age 37 with Mother-in-law Margaret Smith (must have changed the name from Schmidt) age 73.I printed everything out so if you would like to share your snail address I can mail them to you.Please contact me direct at [email protected] this helps a bit!Vicky
