Janet: I read all that info. That's really interesting. My great grandfather lived in Boonville about 1860 and the Hamilton Brown company wasn't until 1918. Since there were so many shoemakers in the 1860 census, tho, there must have been a shoe company there at the time. If you come across anything please let me know.
