Oh, you were a great help. I always wondered why and how they could have had so many shoe and bootmakers in that small town and now I realize that it was because there obviously was a factory there. He eventually moved to Fayette which is nearby. His name was William Rice Adams and his wife's name was Mary R. (and a surname I will have to look up.) They named all their children Rice as a middle name. In the 1860 census there were many people on his street who were shoemakers. Two year ago I was able to visit that theater in Boonville. The guy wanted to take us downstairs to where they store the players costumes and shoes. We didn't go because the place was about to close. It was a beautiful theater. Ann
