George Woodruff, SC, NC

I am trying to locate information on the family of George WOODRUFF, born South Carolina, married Nancy Bowen abt 1857 in Ocone, North Carolina & died at Camp Chase, Ohio in 1865.
They had at least two children.. Sarah, 1862 & Mary, 1865. (possibly a son Richard,1858, no proof on him). Nancy moved her family into Roane County,Tennessee where she later remarried & lived until her death.
George died at Camp Chase during the Civil War, 1865. So far I don't have enough information to get his military record. I am most interested in finding out who his parents & siblings were.Would appreciate any help at all & will be happy to exchange information.
