I'm seeking the parentage of Johnathan Davis CREATHBAUM born February 8, 1844 in Wheeling, Marshall County, Virginia.
Today Wheeling is located in Marshall County, West Virginia.
Johnathan Davis CREATHBAUM died 27 Aug 1892 in Valpariso, Saunders County, Nebraska.
He married January 1, 1869 in Christian County, IL to Isabella Beck LAWTON.
They are enumerated in the 1870 & 1880 census in Christian County, Illinois,
but by 1885, he and his family are enumerated in Saunders County, Nebraska.

I cannot find Johnathan Davis CREATHBAUM in the 1850 or the 1860 census
in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Illinois or any other state in the U.S.

If anyone has an obituary for Johnathan or could check and see if
Johnathan Davis CREATHBAUM had an obituary
when he died 27 August 1892 in Valpariso, Saunders County, Nebraska,

I believe Johnathan Davis CREATHBAUM could be the sibling of Allie CREATHBAUM
b. 22 Oct 1844 in West Virginia d. 8 April 1816 in Taylorville, Christian County, Illinois.
She married William BUGG on 21 Dec 1871 in Christian County, Illinois.
She was the daughter of Elias CREATHBAUM and Susanna Kemp/Camp/Kamp.

I've not been able to find Allie CREATHBAUMin the 1850 or 1860 census.
She is enumerated in the 1870 census living in Christian County, IL.

The surname CREATHBAUM could be spelled numerous ways, it seems the census takers and records found in different court houses across the United States did not know how to spell the surname.
I found Johnathan's surname spelled: Creathbaum, Creathbaun, and Creathbame
but other spellings I've found for the immigrant Conrad Krichbaum's ancestors are:
Krichbaum, Creekbaum, Crickbaum, and Krigbaum
but it's also found spelled Kriegbaum, Kreigbaum, Krieghbaum, Kreighbaum, etc. etc.
This surname has been found spelled over 40 ways in the census and courthouses across America.
