Hi again. One more thing I found about the accident was that there was a settlement:

Wife and 3 Children Killed; Given $8,000 - York, Neb., March 1 - The Chicago & North Western railroad has settled eight thousand dollars on Adolph Schultz, whose wife and three children were killed at a grade crossing southwest of Gresham, Neb. last January 13.
No court action had been taken by Schultz.Of the settlement, $3,500 went to the estate of Mrs. Schultz and $1,500 to the estate of each of the children.
