My husband's grandfather Josip Pavlic was born in Mrkopalj, Croatia in June 1894 (according to his WWII Draft Registry). The 1930 US Census shows that he immigrated in 1910. The resulting ships manifest shows that his final destination was Raton, New Mexico. He was going to his father Anton Pavlic in Dawson, New Mexico. Josip declared that his mother Franka was his nearest living relative in Mrkopalj. I believe that my sources provide proof that Josip's father was Anton (born abt. 1864) and his mother was Franka ?. I also have evidence of Anton's brother's Ivan and Juray immigrating to the US sometime before 1908. There is also an immigration manifest that shows Marija Pavlic (born abt. 1899) immigrating to join her brother Josip in 1920, in Dawson, New Mexico. Her mother, however, is listed as Karla?. Can anybody help me fill in the blanks. At this point there are more blanks than evidence. Josip (later Joseph Pavlich) died in Raton, New Mexico in 1975.
