After 11 miserable years she died 26.7.1871 and was buried on poor ground at Ilford London aged 3531.7.1871.

The steamer Fanny Fern, bound to St. Louis from Pittsburg, with 400 tons of produce, 15 cabin and 20 deck passengers, exploded her boiler at 2 o'clock this afternoon,cincinatti jan 28th 1859 18 miles below this city. Fifteen lives are reported to be lost, including Capt. WOODWARD, several deck hands and firemen, and three ladies. I am trying to find a list of the crew etcbut presumed he died. 30 people rescued were taken by train from Ohio to Misissippiof these 15 were injured Any info on Kailey's in New York or James death, inquest, ships lists etc would be gratefully recieved.
