I found a few leads on the NYCGenWeb page and an idea that is worth following up on.First here are a few orphanages;St. John's Orphan's Home, St Joseph's (Brooklyn), and St. Vincent's (this one might be connected with the NY Foundling's Hosp.).Also, I found a possible source of more information;
try contacting the Archivist at the Chancery Office of the Diocese of Brooklyn 75 Greene Ave. Brooklyn 11238 / (718)399-5900.I also had the thought of trying the NYC Library.
