Divorce Records 1930s?

Can anyone tell me what might be available for New York in way of divorce records for around the 1930s - 1940s?My grandparents lived in Long Island City, Queens County at the time of my father's birth in 1932.But I know that my grandfather remarried sometime after 1942 after moving to Springfield Massachusetts.I'm also interested in not only the procedure for acquiring such records, but also what might be on them.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
