vital records question

Hi--I am spoiled with Massachusetts VR being online.I have a marriage in New York City about 1910-1913 to look up.All of the searches that I do, direct me to a fee based site.I don't mind paying a fee if I know that I will get results. I'm afraid I'll pay and there won't be a hit because of spelling variations or my time frame not being in their index.Does anyone have access to a marriage index?I am looking for a 1910-1913 marriage of Elizabeth Prunty (Lizzie) to Patrick Whelan (Whealan) and sometimes Phelan.Any help would be appreciated.
