Thank you Mike for replying.I really do appreciate it!One of my grandfathers (3x gr), Nathaniel/Nathan Smith married Clementine Smith in Belmont Co., OH Oct. 14, 1830.Don't know Nathaniel's birth date, am led to believe that he was born in OH.They moved to Henry Co., IN and Nathaniel died there abt. 1839.Am wanting to know who Nathaniel/Nathan and Clementine's parents were.On their marriage record it states that Nathaniel/Nathan was from Richland Twp., and that Celemtine was from Union Twp.
I have no proof (yet), but due to some very compelling eveidence I believe that Clementine was Evaline W. Smith's sister.Evaline being the dau. of Thomas and Sarah Smith, who married Israel EvansAlso believe that Thorban Smith (census indicates he was born in VA.)and his wife Mary Smith (Mary's parents were John W. Smith and Alice Wilkinson) tie in with this group somehow, would like to know the connection.Believe that Thorban and Nathaniel/Nathan were possibly brothers, but very definately related.
If you canhelp me in any way or point me in the right direction I surely would appeciate it so very much!!
Thank You,
Mary
