Re: 1850 Census Look up

There appears to be only one Joseph Shepherd listed in the 1850 Census and he was only 17 years of age and still living with what appear to have been his parents, John (age 54) and Elenor (age 50) Shepherd.Joseph was born in Ohio and, in spite of his youth, claimed to be a "Manufacturer."He had two brothers; Harrison (age 15) and the other I cannot read, it might be Howard (age 12).There is a "Teacher" named Robert Willson, age 48 and born in Ireland, living with them. Since his birthplace does not match Elenor's (Maryland), he is probably just a boarder, not a brother-in-law.John's birthplace is scrawled and hard to read, but it is probably New York.
