seeking info on Brink Family living in Cincinnati late 1800's

I descend from a William D. Brink who I believe may have lived in Cincinnati before moving to Chicago.
I am looking at that area, as I ran into a man named Brink who was a Barber on Harrison Ave. at Montana in Cincinnati and he looked exactly like my Uncle. He said that he had a great Uncle named William that was a Cincinnati Police Officer that as family lore was told, was run out of town. I have tried to refind him, but have not located him since. I don't have his name either, but he had been in the Army, as he had a picture by his mirror.
If anyone can either connect me up with this Mr. Brink or find info on this Brink family, I would truly appreciate it.
