Re: Applegate family 1800's

I found several Applegates related in my family. a Catherine Applegate married a Samuel Leming in NJ. They moved with family members to Hamilton Co, OH. Later her brothers and their sons moved to Shelby, IN. Samuel's daughter Martha married an Applegate.Several of these Applegate Cousins joined the 3rd Indiana Volunteers in 1846. After 1850, my family moved to Texas, but I am fairly certain the many Applegates came from NJ and spread out from Ohio and Indiana.
