Altho I do not live in the area, I've been a Holmes Co lookup for many yrs, and have some records.

But 1st, I think you should be looking for Jacob's family in Tuscarawas Co.He was living there 1840 with wife, son and dau under 5 [she apparently d bef 1850].When he had a land patent 8-1-1848 for Williams Co he was a resident of Tuscarawas Co.

If you check the blm site further you will find some BROWNs early in Tuscarawas Co.Also Geo ROBINET of Tuscarawas Co had land patent 1827 Holmes Co.

Not finding BROWN/ROBINETT marriage.
