Rowland, Mosher, and Huffman families pre 1850
Researching my grandmothers family - names are provided below. If anyone on the list is familiar with these families, please contact me.They are:
1)Rowland (Jonathan and Samuel) - lived in Jefferson Twp, Knox Co., and Ashland
The Rowland family was there by 1835.Jonathan and wife Susan are on the 1850 and 1860 census but then disappear so I assume the died after the 1860 census. There is no record online of their graves.Jonathan lived around Jelloway, and Samuel lived up in the NE corner of the township near the border with Ashland and with Holmes Counties.Samuel was born about 1835-7 and died in Ashland Co., sometime before the 1910 census. He was married first to Louisa Mosher, then to Amelia Huffman, then to Louisa Huffman.I have found the graves for the wifes but not for Samuel.
I an especially interested in identifying the parents of Jonathan.I think he links with other Rowland families in Richland and in Ashland Co.They all came from PA in the early 1800's.Jonathan is listed as being from PA and from MD.The Rowland I am trying to link him to is Joseph who was at Valley Forge.
I am also interested in locating Samuel's grave which is probably in Ashland Co.
Related families through Samuel are:
2)Jacob Mosher (Holmes Co).Samuel married to his daughter Louisa and all are buried in Holmes Co.
3)Adam or William Huffman (probably in Holmes Co).Samuel married daughters Amelia and Louisa as wife #2 and #3.They are buried in Ashland Co and/or Holmes.
Thanks in advance.
