Published in "The Blade" (Toledo, OH) on Thursday, March 21, 1968, 2-44-2:
George W. Brown, 83, of 1418 Washington St., died Wednesday in St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in Rochester, N.Y., Mr. Brown lived here 35 years. He was a retired checker, employed by the Universal Car Loading and Distributing Co. for 20 years.
Surviving are his wife, Agnes J. and stepson, Daniel Ryan of Toledo.
The body is in the Coyle Mortuary, Collingwood Boulevard. Services will be Friday at 9 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, Avondale Avenue, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
Agnes' middle initial J could be for Josephine. When/where did she marry a Ryan?
I did not have time to check on the wife or stepson's obits but I the obit index shows an Agnes Brown died 1 Jul 1978 at age 80 and a Daniel J. Ryan died 16 May 1984 at age 52.
There best way to find out who George's parents were is from any document in which HE supplied the information. His marriage record(s) may be less expensive than his $27 SS application. You can get George's SSN from the SSDI.
