Once again, Thank You!
This info fairly confirms that my Grandfather (Randolph) was Lutheran -- he never said. And i knew there was some family connection to Gendron Wheel, just wasn't sure what it was.
From your previous post, i checked on August Noethen -- believe i found him in the LDS records, along with parents and siblings:
2.Augustinus Noethen Pedigree
Male
Birth:17 NOV 1827Mayen, Rheinland, Preussen
Christening:
.
.
.
But this brings up a linguistic/religious question -- i had the impression that at that time, only Catholicsused the Latin forms of the 'given' names, Lutherans et al used the vernacular (German) forms. All the given names for this family are of the Latin form.
While you've got the book open, could you please find the entry for Alphonso Christian Westrick, d. 16.Nov.1949, either in Sylvania or Toledo?Believe he died of a heart attack, while out hunting.
