Hi,I would also like to contact a Mrs.Orion King. However I found an Orion King ,who died 1940 in Pickaway Co.,Oh. So I doubt, she is still alive. She took a viable surname GLENN,that was indexed in Rev Soldiers of West Virginia by Anna Waller Reddy and changed it to GLAZE. There was a George GLAZE that was born abt.1749 Pa.,removed to Hampshire Co.,Va.,then removed to Pickaway Co.,Oh. 1807. I've contacted the Virginia State Library, also OHS in Columbus,Oh. No one has a record of George GLAZE serving in Va.,Rev.War. Mrs.Orion King ,also stated George GLAZE was born Virginia, that's incorrect. Perhaps there's a researcher, looking for his ancestor George GLENN,who may have served in Va.Rev.War. I'm researching the GLAZE family, descended from Erhardt GLAZE b.1708 Germany, removed to Hampshire Co.,Va. Son George GLAZE b.1749 New Holland ,Pa.(baptized),removed to Hampshire Co.,Va.,then to Pickaway Co.,Oh. George GLAZE died 1826 Pickaway Co.,Oh.One can't help but wonder, was Mrs.Orion King so eager to make a Rev.War connection to George GLAZE,she took a name like Glenn because it was close? One needs little proof with DAR,as if you can find an ancestors name in an early census, like John Smith, you can assume it's your John Smith, and it's good enough if you can show they had descendants and you descend from a John Smith.
