Thanks for the reply, but dates don't fit.Sarah & her first spouse were white, Daniel Collins was listed as Mulatto.Don't know about D.Shafer except that there were Shafers in Shelby & Greene counties that were listed as Bl. & Mulatto.Sarah & D. Shafer married in 1858 and she was listed without a spouse in 1860 census.Either divorced soon or he died shortly after their marriage.Haven't been able to find anything on him.Thanks again.
