Tommy, It is hard to find marriage records in Oklahoma unless you know the county and can contact them directly.Oklahoma marriage records are currently being indexed but they are not complete.
You didn't list much information but I can see what I believe to be this couple living in Ardmore in 1930.He is shown as Jesse L Stephenson born TX about 1892 and she is born the same year in Tennessee.
In 1920, Jesse is 28 and living in Pottawatomie County OK.I am fairly sure that it is him because he is a railroad brakeman.
In 1920 there is a school teacher living in Ardmore and she is shown as the right age and born in Tennessee. She is living alone. On the census it looks more like "Cornie", but probably should be Corine.
When I looked for Corine in 1910 I found her in Pottawatomie County at age 19 living with her family. The sister just older than her was shown as a school teacher.
If we can speculate for a moment, maybe they met in her college days in Pottawatomie County and when she landed a job in Ardmore, he transferred there with the railroad.Since a bride normally gets married in her home town, I would check both Carter and Pottawatomie for the marriage.
It is possible that I am not looking at the right people, but it all seems to fit.Good luck. Please feel free to contact me if you think I can help.Carol
