I am researching the Leepers of MO especially the Grundy Co. Area.My gggrandfather was James E. Leeper, my grandmother said his father was James Ambrose Leeper now another person says her James was my james ambrose so double checking again and found your James whose father was William. Do you have anything on your James and William Leepers beside what you posted.
So far I have found 6 James Leepers between 0 & 10, 5 in 1850 MO Census and yours in 1860 Census three of these were born in 1849-1850, on top of that 2 of these are in grundy Co. MO
One is yours William & Eliza with son James the other James with son James E.
I know for certain that my James Edward Married 1st Arminta Booram had children Letitia, Orville, Maude May, and Adda then married Corella Booram (Arminta's sister) and had children Merle, Myrlte, Claude(my grandfather), Roy, Ruth, Kyle, and Dale.
Now another lady says that James E. married a Salina and had other children in Kansas and later married Cordelia. Found where a James Leeper married a Salina in Dade Co MO and Census where they live in KS. While finding this I also found in Kansas in another county James Leeper and Arminta with children Letitia and Orville.
Can you help with this mystery or add to it? lol
