I happen to own a book entitled "A Century Of Coos And Curry County" and I found:
George Chard, b. England 1854; In Coos engaged in logging, merchandising and other activities. Married Minnie M. Elliott. Children: George H; James O.
I also looked into Minnie Elliott and found:
Hiram Elliott, b. Ohio 1812. Married Abigail Rosalie; one daughter, Mary R. died while crossing the plains in a covered wagon. Children born after arrival to Oregon 1849: Alice M; George H; William, Milton, Sarah, John F; Fred, Minnie M; Leland E.To Coos 1865; farmed and logged on South Slough, rafting logs to Empire. Died 1888; Mrs. Elliott 1911.
I hope this helps. I know the absolute frustration of constantly hitting "Brick Walls!" If this is your family there may be other info. in the book, let me know and I'll see what I can come up with.
