Dear Judy,
Thank you so much for going to all the trouble. I know you have sent me info before. I thought I would try again with a new post. It's really odd I've only found him twice in the census. One when he was 6 for the 1860, and the 1870 where he was living with his oldest sister and her husband and child and most of his brothers and sisters.Next door was his mother with son James.
I thought I could find them in the 1880 with my great grandmother Mary. She would have been two. I've never found them as a family.
I do have the divorce papers where he said he was going to Boisey City as they called it then. The sheriff could never find him there to serve the papers.
Two ladies from Ohio area that are related further back on the Cameron's have been writing to me. They have given me a lot of info on the Cameron's.
Also Claudine Fall from Cal. has been sending me info. Her line is John Boyd Ed's older brother. She has sent picturesand a lot of information.
We think the family thought he died by 1912 as he never came for his mother's funeral.I assume they tryed to contact him and he never responded. He could have been the one deceased child also.
I didn't realize that Belle was a step daughter.I have a letter she wrote to a sister about mary's death.
I am also going to contact some historical societies in Gilliam Co. soon.
If you want to write me directly it's [email protected]
Thanks for your encouragement.
Eileen
