I'm not certain. The Manly Madison Wood was born 15 April 1815, woulden't that make him a bit old to be a flag bearer? It could be though. I am from the Henry Wood b. 10 July 1838(7?)in S. Carolina line. Manly's son. Henry married Sarah Minerva Nation. They lived in Alabama at the time, that was 1865. Maybe there are two Manlys, the father and a son. That would make Henry and your Manly brothers. Also the dates would match up. Henry was a Confederate Soldiger. My Manly married a woman named Martha ? b.1820 in S. Carolina. Do you think that this could be the family? The name is too close. There can't be that many Manly Madison Wood's in the south at that time. Give's us another way to look.
