The Little Pee Region is indigenous to the area that borders the river by the same name. It is a major tributary to the Great Pee Dee River. It separates from the former at the intersection of Georgetown, Horry (pronounced Orrie) and Marion counties. It continues northward toward the North Carolina stateline,... bordering Horry, Marion and Dillon Counties. It turns northwest about five miles east of the Town of Mullins, running in that direction up to and near the City of Dillon,... and terminating at its origin, just over the state line due east of the Town of Mc Coll (Chesterfield County).
