Still in search of this elusive family.here is what I know. Thomas A. Johnson m. Rebecca DuTart in Charleston c.1850. 4 known children, Alfred Huger Johnson,b. 1870 d. 1947 m. Eliza A. ?,Alice Z. Johnson, m. Dr. John Martin Weekley and moved to Ulmers, SC. Rebecca Johnson, shows up in Ulmers as housekeeper to John Weekley's son, John Francis Weekley using the name Rebecca Wright with an adopted daughter, Mary Roberts Wright. And my great grandmother, Fannie Victoria Johnson married Frank Augustus Nelson, has four children, Frank A., Jr., Edith Marion, George P., and Beaulah E.He died. She then married Jesse Fairey Council of Dorchester County. He worked for the Railroad.c. 1907.She lived at 28 Chalmers Street in Charleston at this time. In 1907 they moved to Lakeland, Florida where my grandmother, Jessie Fairey Council was born.
Any help on the Johnson's, Dutarts, or Nelsons in South Carolina would be greatly appreciated.I can find these surnames, just can't connect.
