Hello Judy, Here is the Foster info I have, which is two or three generations of my line of them. This information came from my great grandfather White's grandmother McDowell's Family Bible. I don't know from where or when they were from, although Dorcas Foster McDowell and her family lived in the Spartanburg, S.C. area. (Note: * denotes my line):

The above Isabella Jane McDowell was my g.g. grandmother, who married my g.g.grandfather, John Warren White, also of Spartanburg, S.C.
This is all I have. I hope it is of some help and I am sorry I haven't any more info for you. Take Care, David Edelen
