SI bselieve that his father was also Bartillery but am not sure.the Gray Burkett I knew about had a lbrother who was also prominent in Coffee County as tax collector i believe.Their Father was Uncle Bud Burkett, They had a sisster named Nona Burkett Hale Parks.She was the mother of my best friend Robert Hale who passed away ayear ago in Athens Tenn. I believe that his mother is buried there in Tenn. USncle Bud was about 6'6" tall with a very white main of hair and was an itenerant Bap[tist Preacher lCalled at that time a circuit rider preacher.Uncle Bud lived to be more than 90 years oldand preache a sermon the Sunday before he died on Monday.
