I use a lot of those computer sites.Be careful with the LDS records--there are a lot of errors on them.
Do you have the names of children of Sarah or Sally?
Samuel named his children: Pleasant D Mary Ann Elizabeth Samuel Houston Emily Candis Perndis Moses William
Do you see any of these names on your side?
I have dug through census records, books at the library and accessed every computer site you can imagine and I still don't know who Samuel's parents were. One researcher suggested looking in Ga as there are Turners with the name Plesant in the family line there. That seems a good suggestion; however, I have not been able to view any of those census records yet.I looked at 1830 Spartanburg, SC and that was a dead end--took two weeks for that film order to come in and turned out zero.
I do know that Samuel was related to Sally Turner, born 1797, but I don't know how he was related as explained earlier with Drury Anglin's son marrying Sally's daughter and then Drury living with Samuel.
One of Samuel's sons, Moses, is said to have left TX and moved "back" to exactly where I am not sure. Some say AL and some say TN. On a computer index I found a Candis P Turner married in TN 1851-1900 records but I only have access to the index.I am going to try to access some GA records on the computer and see if that turns up anything on a line of Pleasant Turners.I may only get an index.
