Hi Lydia, I can't believe that there is only one Charles EVANS listed in these volumes and he is from DE!!!BUT....that does NOT mean that your Charles EVANS wasn't a patriot, it just means that nobody has applied for membership under his name.So now's your chance!!

EVANS, Charles He served as a captain under Col. Powell during 1775 and 1776 and also served thirty-six days as a militiaman during 1782.Heitman, p. 219; C.S.; Council of Safety, 21 February 1776; A.A.2250; L57.
