John Alexander Patton b. 1833, was married to Amanda "Manda" Davis b. 1839.John was a Civil war P.O.W., and died during the war.The children of John and Amanda were: Thomas Lafayette b. 1857, who married Oskaloosa Trapp in Dekalb Co.Their children were Bell 1882-m. Henry Evans 1903 in Smithville, TN. Lula Ann 1884-m. Daniel Wadkins 1903 or 1904. Virginia (Ginny) 1886 - m. Frank Holt 1920 in Smithville. John Alva (Alvie) 1888 - m. Velma Hale. Baby Lucy born and died 1889. Alice 1890 - m. John Hedley Bratton 1910 in Smithville. James Herschel 1893 - m. Addie May Patton 1919. Joseph Lafayette (Fate) 1895 - m. Maggie Martin then Estelle Flemings. Amanda Florence 1897 - m. Robert Melton 1921 in Dekalb Co, TN.

J.A. Patton b. 1864, was also Uncle Tobe.Grandma thought his full name was either Andrew Jackson or Johnson.He married Mary Cantrell and had 2 children, Carlan and Elsie.
David Elbred Patton b. 1962, was called Crocket by Grandma.He married...Gentry, and had a son Walter.His wife and son died in 1897.
Rebecca Patton b. 1858, married Kip Potter.
