A branch of the family, George King (b: 3/26/1727, Charleston, S.C.), son of Samuel King (Charleston), moved into St. Mathhews Parish, Orangeburg District after the Rev. War, or sometime after 1780, and later moved the family, along with other families, to the Turkey Creek and Bullock Creek areas of York District in S.C. This George King had sons; George, Jr., Samuel, Benjamin, and John. Some members of this family, along with their mother, later migrated to Miss. I don't find any connection with this king family, or other branches, into the Pendleton area. There could be a connection through some of the children, etc.
