Re: Skinner Family

I Googled "Skinners in Polk County, TX" and there was an item from TXPOLK-L archives which said the Skinners, as well as other families from Henry Co., AL, settled in the Damascus Church area.The person who wrote this said some of her relatives purchased land from M.D. Skinner when they came to Polk Co. in 1887, but M.D. seemed to disappear after that.

I found that there is a Damascus Cemetery when I Googled that, but not all graves are listed.
